A HOME AWAY FROM HOME…AND THEN SOME! – The Butterfly Cove condo in Windsor Palms Resort was absolutely wonderful! It was our first Christmas away from home and staying at this gated resort allowed us to have a safe and memorable one. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed, including making a traditional Christmas dinner (ham, turkey and all the fixin’s). The location was perfect because it was close to everything — grocery stores, restaurants and various shops. Since we also had a list of excursions planned, we were able to do them all: Universal Studios, Gatorland, Airboat ride on Lake Toho, swimming with the manatees and dolphins at Merritt Island, seafood dinner at Grills (Port Canaveral), Go-Karting, helicopter ride and shopping at two major malls. At the end of each day, we came back to a clean, bright, tastefully decorated and most comfortable home. The washer and dryer was a bonus – next time I won’t bring as many clothes or towels. I really loved the fact that the condo had everything the website said it had. When we didn’t have to go anywhere, we hung out at the clubhouse and enjoyed the large heated pool, hot tub, and loungers; sipping on killer cocktails and loaded nachos masterfully concocted by Matt of the clubhouse’s Tiki bar. There were so many other things we didn’t have enough time for like play volleyball and tennis at the resort, karaoke night at the clubhouse and Disney attractions. I was glad I was able to find time to at least roam around and admire the beautiful landscaping, manicured lawns, and well-kept grounds. We hope to go back so whenever this may be, we hope the Cove or any of Anna and Richard’s other condos (Butterfly Palm and Silver Palm) in the resort will be available. Btw, I took pictures of the whole place so I can copy Anna’s excellent decorating skills. We hate to recommend this place lest it’s not available when we need it but it so deserves this review…and then some! Anna and Richard, A (DISNEY) WORLD OF THANKS for an AWESOME TIME in Kissimmee!!!
